Ja Morant’s off court antics cost the Memphis Grizzlies last season and this season. As a result, the Grizzlies are currently one of the NBA’s worst teams. However, the previous two seasons saw Memphis take their division title and the West’s second best record. But, Ja Morant was suspended for twenty five games, due to showing off guns on social media. Now, Morant finds himself in an actual courtroom, where he’s demonstrating how passing a basketball works.

Ja Morant had previously been the most successful draft pick of the 2009 draft. He immediately began putting the Memphis Grizzlies on highlights. The following season, he began leading Memphis to wins, and by 2021, they knocked off the Warriors to make the playoffs. By 2022, the Grizzlies were the NBA’s most promising team. At this point, they had a legitimate rivalry with the Warriors, and were two wins from going to the Western Conference Finals.

Ja Morant has come close to losing everything and was forced to miss this season’s first twenty five games. He’s getting close to his return, but he ended up having to go to court. Thankfully, this isn’t due to any of his own actions. Instead, Ja Morant was there being used for a demonstration. Since Morant can’t play on the court, he’s playing in the courtroom. Here, he was showing how to pass a basketball, in the middle of a case.
