Ja Morant’s latest sneaker release removed from Nike online store, amid second Instagram gun incident

Ja Morant’s name has been trending all week, once again. This is due to a video from Instagram Live surfacing on Mother’s Day, of the Memphis Grizzlies star waving a gun on IG Live, once again. As a result, Morant went on to be suspended from all team activities.
This is the second time that Morant waved a gun on Instagram Live, since March. At the time, he showed a gun while he was inside a Denver strip club, after the Grizzlies lost to the Nuggets. That resulted in an 8-game suspension, as well as brief counseling at a Florida facility. At this point, many anticipate that Morant could face a 40-game suspension, to start the 2023-24 NBA season.
Meanwhile, it appears that Nike is also distancing themselves from Morant. According to TMZ, the Ja 1 Nike sneakers aren’t seen on Nike’s website. These were the pair that were initially released on April 19. However, the “Hunger” edition of Morant’s sneakers still have a listed May 25 release date.
Furthermore, Morant went on to release a statement, a few days ago. He claimed how he’s disappointed people and has to take full accountability for his actions, while working on himself.
