Ja Rule and Ashanti were pulled over by LAPD in Rolls Royce and accused of aggression when they filmed it

Ja Rule Ashanti 2Well over a decade ago, Ja Rule established himself as hip hop’s most-popular rapper. He found success in a formula that allowed him to create hit records with R&B artists. While he made a hits with Case and also R. Kelly, his niche was with female singers.

Ja Rule found the perfect collaborator in Ashanti, but he also had records with Jennifer Lopez, Lil’ Mo, and Mary J. Blige. Again, he made his most-notable tracks with Ashanti. But, Ja Rule is almost a decade removed from his last attempt at mainstream music success.

Now, Ja Rule is comfortably performing his multitude of older hits on tour, which he is doing with Ashanti. Recently, the two were riding in his Rolls Royce in Los Angeles, according to Mediatakeout. While riding, the two were allegedly victims of racial profiling and when they tried to film the altercation, they were accused of being aggressive, but a senior officer diffused the situation, letting the former Murder Inc. duo off with no trouble.
