It was ten years ago when things came to a screeching halt for Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, and their camp, Murder Inc. Records. After tearing up the charts for four years, they just weren’t hot anymore. There were several situations that led to Ja Rule and Irv Gotti taking such a sharp decline.
In 2004, Ja Rule made a strong comeback with hisĀ R.U.L.E. album. Ja Rule managed to get his usual female fan base back on his side, but he surprisingly took the streets over. When he teamed up with Fat Joe and Jadakiss for the street classic anthem, “New York.”
Eight years have passed since Ja Rule was in the mainstream and now he has returned to form. Back out of prison, Ja Rule and Irv Gotti have reunited in front of the public eye for the first time. Today, they stopped by Angie Martinez on Hot 97 and they spoke on prison, Murder Inc., and their feelings toward fans.
