Ja Rule announces a new label deal potentially worth $100 million

Ja Rule dominated the early 2000s hip hop, but then became the most hated. The downfall he endured was among the worst in history. As a result, any time his name is mentioned, people automatically think of 50 Cent. Because of 50’s position in the game, plus being the rival who helped ruin his career, people forget what Ja Rule brought to the table. So, they sometimes have a hard time believing he still has a lot of value. According to Rule, his new deal could be valued at $100 million.

Ja Rule signing a $100 million deal tracks with Irv Gotti’s deal. In 2022, Irv reached a deal to sell the masters of Murder Inc. for $300 million. The breakdown was $100 million in cash. In addition, Irv received a $200 million line of credit to create films. Originally, Gotti had a deal with Paramount to do original films. Now, Ja Rule is announcing a new deal with a $100 million value. With most of the music released by Murder Inc. being Rule’s, $100 million makes sense.

Ja Rule had the Midas touch, when he was on top. Once his first single topped Billboard, all of his singles topped Billboard. He went from making hits with Lil’ Mo and Case to making hits with Jennifer Lopez and Bobby Brown. However, his 2007 comeback attempt was botched by those in charge of the project, thus relegating Rule to the background. He’s seen new life doing interviews and he announced his 25th anniversary tour. In addition, he said he has a new album coming. Now, he has a $100 million deal.
