In the early 2000s, Ja Rule broke out from under Jay Z and DMX’s shadow to become the biggest rapper out. For five consecutive years,he released chart-topping albums that went number one. There were at least three top ten singles for each of those albums.
Last year, Ja Rule talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his new book and his album, Genius Loves Company. During that interview, Ja Rule said his album would come in 2015. Now, it’s much closer to 2016 than it is to that interview in July 2014.
Ja Rule recently revealed Genius Loves Company will be released as a double album. Meanwhile, he is preparing for “Follow The Rules” to premiere on MTV2. In addition to this, Ja Rule and Ashanti have reunited, going on a world tour, which will be adapted into a film.
