Fourteen years ago, Ja Rule set out to prove he could be a star on his own, without Jay-Z and DMX on all of his songs. Safe to say, Ja Rule managed to do this, as he still holds several records at his former label, Def Jam, for hit singles and album sales. Throughout the early 2000s, Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the game, but nothing lasts forever.
One decade after everything took place, it is pointless to mention his long list of enemies. In 2007, Ja Rule found himself ready to leave those demons in the past and put out his next album. A three year hiatus from his last album, Ja Rule had a major comeback planned. It was all to start following the release of the lead single, “Uhh Ohhh!” with Lil Wayne.
The two got arrested and were sentenced to prison over possessions of guns and drugs. Last week, Ja Rule sent the internet into a frenzy when he released a post on Twitter saying he would be released from prison on February 21. Ja Rule instead was transferred from one prison to another to begin his sentence for tax evasion. Moving ahead, Ja Rule is set to be released from prison on Friday.
