Fans who were still riding with Ja Rule were disappointed when he lost his case and was sentenced to two years in prison. Things started off so well for Ja Rule, who made plans of forging a strong comeback in 2007. Ja Rule was preparing his comeback album, The Mirror, and Lil Wayne was tapped for the first single.

Ja Rule featured Lil Wayne on his “Uhh Ohhh!” single, which fans expected to become another hit single. At the time, everything Lil Wayne touched was a bit. However, Lil Wayne’s song with Ja Rule was the lone flop. Despite the MTV premiere of the video, “Uhh Ohhh!” did not have lasting success.

At the video shoot for “Uhh Ohhh!” in New York City, Ja Rule and Lil Wayne were caught with guns and drugs. Lil Wayne served his prison sentence in 2010 and Ja Rule began serving his term in June of 2011. Ja Rule released his long-awaited comeback album,PIL 2, in February of this year, from behind bars. Now, Ja Rule has reason to celebrate February, as it will be when he is released in 2013.

Ja Rule will be released from prison on February 13, 2011.
