Jack Harlow earns his first number one solo single, on Billboard Hot 100, with “First Class”

Jack Harlow tops Billboard Hot 100 with “First Class” single

Last week, Jack Harlow released his second single of 2022, “First Class.” A week before its release, the Louisville rapper previewed the song, in a new video posted to social media. Many fans went on to notice that this track samples Fergie’s classic 2006 hit single, “Glamorous,” featuring Ludacris.

First Class has been a massive hit on social media since then, especially on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Now, it has reached a huge first week, in sales. According to Chart Data, it has officially debuted at number one, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. First Class is Jack’s first number one solo single, and his second number one overall. He appeared on Lil Nas X’s chart-topping “Industry Baby” single, last summer.

First Class also earned the biggest US sales week for any song this year, with over 420K units sold, in its first week. As of this morning, it sold over 500k units, which is the fastest 2022 single to do so. First Class also had the biggest streaming week of 2022, with 54.6 million, which is the biggest for a debut since Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” with Future and Drake.

First Class will also appear on Jack’s upcoming sophomore album, “Come Home The Kids Miss You.” That project is set for a May 6 release. In February, Jack also put out his “Nail Tech” single, which was the first single from this forthcoming album.
