Jackboy has always been one of the hottest rising artists out of Pompano Beach, FL, as he grew up with Kodak Black. Last year, he put out his “Living In History” mixtape along with his “Love Me While I’m Here” album. That project featured 19 tracks with appearances from Kodak, 42 Dugg, Tokyo Jetz, and more.

Now, Jackboy is running into some legal trouble. According to TMZ, he was arrested in Monroe County, GA last month as he was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Jackboy was originally pulled over in his blue Lamborghini SUV after police noticed that he failed to stay in his lane.

The car ended up being searched after police noticed a smell of marijuana as well. Two unregistered guns were located in the passenger side glove compartment. These were a 9mm and a Glock. Jackboy claimed that he had no idea that these firearms were inside the car though but the person in the back seat went on to claim ownership.

Police then ran a background check on Jackboy and found his criminal record. There, it stated that he can’t be near a firearm. The same day though, he was able to post bond of $2,500, per the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
