Jackie Zeman aka Bobbie from General Hospital passes away at 70

Jackie Zeman is a name that may not ring any bells, but she’s a cultural icon. Soap operas like “General Hospital” may no longer claim the spotlight, but they run in the backgrounds of many lives. In fact, many of the biggest stars grew up with these shows playing, whether they watched them or not. However, in the soap and entertainment world, Jackie Zeman was a superstar. She played the role of Nurse Bobbie Spencer and she passed away on May 10, 2023.

Jackie Zeman’s character of Bobbie was phased into the background in the 2000s. Many of the current star characters on the show are Bobbie’s family. A month ago, Zeman’s Bobbie played an integral role in a storyline. Ironically, she had to take the spotlight after the presumed passing of a character on the show who was in hiding. Like the rest of the characters, Zeman’s Bobbie was surprised when that character was indeed alive.

Jackie Zeman has passed away and that’s heartbreaking news for “General Hospital.” Earlier this year, Sonya Eddy passed away. Like Zeman, she also played on “General Hospital” as a nurse. The show just wrapped Sonya Eddy’s storyline a month ago. Now they have to prepare Zeman’s ending storyline, as members of her family have a front burner storyline. Tonight, the show’s producer announced her passing, as did “General Hospital’s” social media.
