Before becoming a popular actor, Jacob Latimore was a singer, and was signed to Jive Records. However, once the label situation changed, he made a career change. Now, over five years later, Jacob Latimore is playing a big role, on a popular show.
Jacob Latimore plays Emmett, who is a young, single father, of three children. During season one, only one of his kids is shown, but dialogue shows he has more kids. The first season has shown Emmett dealing with being a young father.
Recently, Jacob Latimore stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he talked to DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. He came in and talked about “The Chi,” speaking on his role. While there, he also spoke on being a young man, lessons from his mother, shouted Common out, and what it’s like to grow up.
