Jada Pinkett Smith is speaking out after the release of Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” aired on last Friday.
The six-part documentary chronicles decades of the singer’s alleged sexual misconduct, which he has continuously denied. With more than 50 interviews with Kelly’s victims, former associates, and family members, it has been a revealing portrayal of how the “Ignition” singer allegedly terrorized and assaulted young Black girls for decades.
Her caption read,
“I just watched this with my daughter Willow,” Pinkett Smith wrote in an Instagram post. “It was tough to watch but deeply important. It brought up A LOT for us both.”
