Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
It’s hard to come up with the words to describe what’s going on in the situations surrounding Michael Brown and Eric Garner. One word does come to mind, though, disgusting. For two men to be murdered for minor violations and have no justice is downright disgusting.
These losses hit the hip hop community particularly hard, because hip hop was started by guys not too different than the ones slain. Plus, hip hop, at its natural essence, is a voice to the people, a voice of the streets. Many hip hop members have gone to social media to vent their frustrations.
VladTV posed the question at the movie premiere for Chris Rock’s new film, Top Five, and got responses from Cedric The Entertainer and Jadakiss. Cedric The Entertainer expressed his disappointment in the overall situation. Jadakiss did too, but he had one request of the people and that was for the people to not burn down their communities.
