Jadakiss talks “Top 5 Dead or Alive” on “The Round Up” with Shaheem Reid [VIDEO]
Not much has come from Jadakiss since the release of his Consignment mixtape, which he dubbed a free album. Because he has made fans wait three years for his actual album, Top 5 Dead or Alive, Jadakiss delivered an album on “consignment.” With that behind him, Jadakiss has plans of finally releasing his album.
In 2007, Jadakiss revealed he was back in the studio and working on an album which he called Kiss My Ass. Holding meetings with Jay-Z, Jadakiss signed to Roc-A-Fella Records to push his album, but was met with two years of delays. Jadakiss eventually released his album as The Last Kiss and then promised to deliver an album a year.
Label situations have hindered Jadakiss from dropping The Last Kiss only one year after his last album. But, once he releases his album, Jadakiss will probably drop one every year since his mixtapes come yearly. Recently, Jadakiss sat down with Shaheem Reid for the Life + Times series, “The Round Up,” and spoke on his album.
