Jamal wins Twitter (again) with impromptu “Good Enough” performance #Empire

At the beginning of “Empire,” the tension existed between Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Jamal (Jussie Smollett). Early on, fans rooted for Jamal, as Lucious bullied him for being gay and that was the reason he essentially didn’t want him. But, as the first season went on, Lucious saw Jamal was the man to succeed him.

When season two started, Lucious favored Jamal and he basked in it. For Lucious’ favor, Jamal went against the whole family, including Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), his mom who supported him when no one else would. This led to two infamous slaps.

The tide has shifted and Lucious has betrayed all of his sons, although he was making headway with Andre (Trai Byers) and Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray). Jamal is so angry, he’s taken it back to season one, going to the coffee shop to perform, instead of the ASA showcase. There, he performed “Good Enough” and won Twitter.
