James Harden slaps man in the face during argument in Vegas
James Harden spent the past decade becoming one of the NBA’s most prolific scorers. The past two years have seen Harden become a journeyman. After nine years with the Houston Rockets, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Even playing with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving failed. As a result, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, only a few months later. It’s taken some time, but the Sixers are playing well, sweeping the Nets in the first round. After that, Harden went to Vegas and slapped a man.
James Harden is one of the best players in NBA history. However, he has one thing missing that would complete his résumé. The one thing missing is an NBA championship. When he joined the Houston Rockets, Harden turned them into a title contender. Unfortunately, Stephen Curry was taking the leap from an All-Star to an all-time great, during this same time span. As a result, Harden’s Rockets were often the playoff foil to Steph’s Warriors.
James Harden had an MVP season in 2018. In addition, he led the Rockets to the NBA’s best record at 65-17. Alongside Chris Paul, they led the Rockets to a 3-2 lead over the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. After losing the next two games, the Rockets slowly fell from contention. This led to Harden leaving for Brooklyn and then Philly. In the playoffs, the Sixers swept the Nets. So Harden has spent time in Las Vegas. While out there, he got into it with a man and slapped his face.
