To be as tough of a team as the Houston Rockets are, the best team in the NBA, they struggled in Game 1. Playing the Minnesota Timberwolves, who came in as the eight seed, it was no easy game. In the post-game interview, Mike D’Antoni credited them as a 3 seed.
James Harden exploded for 44 points, dragging the Rockets to victory, in Game 1. In spite of his scoring onslaught, the Timberwolves played a balanced game. Because of that, the Timberwolves stand a strong chance of winning Game 2.
During the pregame practices, James Harden took time out to talk to the media. He talked about his approach to Game 2, where he will be expected to have another big game. The MVP debate also came up, where James Harden is the apparent winner, before the voting is set to take place.
