Jamie Foxx apologizes for Instagram post that was viewed as anti-Semitic, when discussing being betrayed and comparing it to Jesus

Jamie Foxx apologizes for post that was viewed as anti-Semitic

On Saturday, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to simply make a post about how someone recently betrayed him. There, the post read “They killed this dude name Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you?”

As a result, many viewers assumed this post to be anti-Semitic. However, according to Foxx, that is far from the truth. He went on to explain that his post was about someone he knew who recently betrayed him. Foxx revealed this in a statement posted to Instagram, following the backlash against him.

Furthermore, Foxx apologized to the Jewish community, as well as anyone else who was offended by the post. Therefore, he also acknowledged that he has love in his heart for everyone, and that he has that same love and support for the Jewish community.

Meanwhile, this all comes as Foxx recently recovered from a medical complication that he was hospitalized for in Atlanta, in March. In July, the actor also trended for having fun while playing at Topgolf, being on a boat in the Chicago River, as well as helping a woman finding her missing purse, in Chicago.

Check out Jamie Foxx speaking on his post about betrayal and using Jesus being betrayed as an example of that, below.
