Another day just means another lawsuit for Cash Money Records, depending on how some look at it. Birdman argues that he doesn’t face any more legal woes than the majors, but history is bad for the label when it comes to this. In fact, Lil Wayne is protesting over this, blasting Birdman on social media.

The “this” being referred to is the unpaid wages Cash Money Records owes to many, outside of the artists. Among those people is Jas Prince, the man who helped their franchise player, Drake, get started. When he brokered the deal to put Drake on Young Money, he asked for 22% of Cash Money’s profit.

Six years later, Jas Prince has not been paid anything. After he did a calculation of Drake’s earnings, he came up with $40 million. He then factored his percentage to be somewhere in the area of $11 million, which is what he is suing Cash Money Records for. As of press time, there is no word back from any of the executives, or legal team, at Cash Money Records.
