Jay-Z and Beyonce become hip hop’s first billionaire couple

It has been a decade since Jay-Z and Beyonce made their love known. When he went into the promotion of The Blueprint 2: The Gift and The Curse, Jay-Z released his “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” single. On this single, Jay-Z and Beyonce took their romance public and the following summer they made their love known.

Publicly, Jay-Z settled down with Beyonce and he matured. Evolving from the playboy persona, Jay-Z ended his rap career to take over at Def Jam. During this period of time, he became a fixture on Forbes during their annual countdowns of wealth. Beyonce also joined this list.

Both members of the Jay-Z/Beyonce power couple have been raking in large amounts of cash over the past couple months. In lyrics, Jay-Z has rapped about being on “billionaire” status. Now, he can confirm this, as Beyonce put them over the hump with her tour sales mounting over $100 million and her Pepsi deal.
