Quite possibly, Jay Z is having the best week ever. This year has been one where Jay Z focused more on his business, instead of music. Critics had a fun time pointing out every short coming of TIDAL, his music streaming service that quietly gained 1 million subscribers.
Jay Z chose this week to celebrate this feat in Brooklyn at one of his favorite places, Barclays Center. Selling out the arena, Jay Z held a major concert with all of TIDAL’s finest and several other stars. Safe to say, Jay Z probably made a few million this week.
Khosara Khosara’s family was hoping to cash in on both Jay Z’s earnings and Timbaland’s, as he is now doing “Empire.” Unfortunately, the “Big Pimpin'” copyright case was thrown out, yesterday. This ended up being a big win for Jay Z and Timbaland, who are now free to go back to their work.
