Jay-Z challenges Birdman and Lil Wayne
Towards the end of last year, Jay-Z was chosen as the hottest emcee in the game by MTV. Every year that Jay releases an album, he dominates. But, it had been two years between releases and he was the hottest rapper out for the entire year. The previous year, that title belonged to Lil Wayne, but he did not come with any new music until December. Despite that, Birdman felt that the hottest emcee in the game was Wayne over Jay-Z.
When Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 was named the highest-selling rap album of 2009, again Birdman and Lil Wayne had something to say. They argued that the music coming from Cash Money was outselling Roc-A-Fella, Roc Nation, and Def Jam. Perhaps, they did not realize that Wayne’s run was a part of 2008 and that they did not come out with much music in 2009. Then, when Jay-Z’s net worth was listed, Birdman and Lil Wayne boasted that they had more money than him.
Usually, Jay-Z plays things cool. For years, he and Lil Wayne have been allies. But, before their alliance Lil Wayne had tried to start a feud with Jay-Z. As many shots as Lil Wayne sent to Jay, he never responded to them. Instead, he sent a subliminal jab to Wayne and then invited him to rap a verse on “Hello Brooklyn 2.0.” When Jay-Z is being challenged in a feud, he does not respond until the opponent looks stupid, and then he teases them for looking stupid.
Tired of the ignorant challenges from Birdman and Lil Wayne, Jay-Z is ready for them to put up all that they have and compare it to all that he has. Then, once and for all, they will see who has the most money.
