Hip hop in 2013 has been enjoyable because of Jay-Z making his comeback, but the question is if he really went anywhere. No, he does not release an album every year anymore, but he is always being featured on somebody’s record. In 2011, Jay-Z made a comeback alongside Kanye West for Watch the Throne.
The opening song on the album is “No Church In The Wild” featuring Frank Ocean. Out the gate, the song became a favorite off the Watch the Throne project and it soon became a single. “No Church In The Wild” is one of the more-popular recent singles from Jay-Z and it built anticipation for Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Jay-Z recently performed in Manchester, England and “No Church In The Wild” was a part of the concert. This performance was not as seamless as a lot of his other ones, however. Even Jay-Z makes mistakes and they are magnified when he does, as he forgot the lyrics to “No Church In The Wild.”
