Jay Z is in talks with Samsung to sell #TIDAL

Hip hop should give Jay Z more of their support because of deals, such as the TIDAL deal. Recent years have seen music streaming take over the music world. This was a given when music began being pirated on the internet.

Most of the music being pirated is hip hop music. It was poetic justice when Jay Z, a rapper, purchased TIDAL. In a little over a year since he owned the service, Jay Z brought Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Rihanna, J. Cole, Madonna, Usher, Kanye West, and more into it.

Recently, Jay Z has led TIDAL to record success, bringing on the web series, “Money & Violence,” and doing 20 million viewers with the Kanye West album stream and fashion show. This, along with the Rihanna rollout, has made TIDAL much more valuable and it looks like Samsung wants to buy in after giving them plenty of advertising dollars.
