Jay Z lands deal to rename Brooklyn Theater in Barclays Center to TIDAL Theater

Last week, Jay Z arguably pulled off the biggest move of his career. In the case of Jay Z, his career boils down to two categories. The first category is his music career, which is one of the top ones in history and the other is his business career.

Jay Z’s latest business venture is TIDAL, a music and entertainment streaming service. The struggles of TIDAL were well-documented and it seemed like the hip hop world was rooting for its downfall. Close to one year into it, Jay Z scored another win.

Now, Jay Z is doing new business with old partners. When the Nets moved to Brooklyn, Jay Z was a part owner of Barclays Center, their home arena. Inside Barclays Center is the Brooklyn Theater and Jay Z recently closed a deal to rename the section in the arena to the TIDAL Theater.
