Jay Z pulls off major business move, as Sprint takes 33% stake in TIDAL and intend to offer it to their 45 million customers

Because of his triumphs in the business of hip hop, Jay Z looked as if he could not fail. Truly, he made it look easy and TIDAL was expected to be another major success. Using his celebrity Jay Z got Beyonce, J. Cole, Rihanna, Usher, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Kanye West, and more to join.

Immediately, TIDAL faced opposition from Apple Music, which got off to a much better start. Given their partnership with Dr. Dre, the service launched with him finally dropping his album. They cross-promoted with Straight Outta Compton and Drake soon joined the team.

While Apple Music got off to a strong start, TIDAL struggled and the media was there with every headline. Finally, Jay Z and the TIDAL team began getting it right, causing their media attention to dwindle. Now, they have completed their arrangement with the phone service, Sprint, where they take a 33% stake in the company and offering it to their 45 million users.
