Nobody knew what Jay-Z was up to coming into 2013, but in 2012 it was made clear any plans for an album were put on hold. In 2012, Jay-Z shelved any plans to focus on his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. But, in 2013, Jay-Z returned with new music alongside a resurgent Justin Timberlake.
However, it was not until summer that it became clear Jay-Z was coming back with a new album. In June, Jay-Z announced his Magna Carta Holy Grail album, which became one of the biggest releases of the year. Recently, Magna Carta Holy Grail certified double platinum and Jay-Z is preparing the tour.
Already, Jay-Z announced a North American tour and said he would roll out with the dates soon. Wasting no time, Jay-Z is back today with the dates for the North American branch of the tour. Things kick off for Jay-Z in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 30 and continue into January, concluding in Pennsylvania.
