Due to his persistence and bravado, Jay Z has become one of the most-hated personas out. He once claimed “before me there was many, after me there would be none” and Jay Z has lived up to it. The Brooklyn emcee made goals of topping the rap game and then he became a corporate exec.

Jay Z has done several major business ventures over the past twenty years and his latest venture is TIDAL. A bold initiative, TIDAL is a company made for music lovers and owned by artists. Owners include the likes of Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, J. Cole, Kanye West, Usher, and more.

Dr. Boyce Watkins put a new video on YouTube and he decided to tackle the topic of Jay Z and his business ventures. Among other things, Watkins discusses Jay Z promoting TIDAL and donating money to Baltimore in the midst of the riots. He mainly discusses TIDAL and how an investor in the company said Jay Z is not the owner of the company, as he presented it.
