Jay Z shuts down idea of doing a Verzuz, during Twitter spaces conversation – “Nobody can stand on that stage with me” [VIDEO]

Jay-Z says no one can do a Verzuz against him

Over a week ago, Alicia Keys released her eighth studio album, Keys. That went on to debut at number 44, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Alicia Keys took the promotion of this album to an interesting venue, on Tuesday night. She was interviewed by Rob Markman, on Twitter Spaces. Among the people in attendance, were Jay Z, N.O.R.E., among many others.

As most know, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z have an interesting history. Alicia Keys and Jay-Z only had one collaboration, prior to 2021. In 2009, Jay-Z featured Alicia Keys on “Empire State of Mind,” a single that topped Billboard Hot 100. The two performed the song at the VMAs and Lil’ Mama infamously crashed the end of their performance. During recent interviews, Alicia Keys spoke on this.

Jay-Z became the first rapper to become a billionaire, in 2019. As Jay-Z continued to expand his empire, fans wanted him to do Verzuz. On Twitter Spaces, Jay-Z was asked about doing Verzuz. He said he wasn’t interested in participating. Jay-Z believes that no artist can compete against him, in a Verzuz matchup.

“Everyone’s amazing… No-one can stand on that stage with me. I’m just telling you guys the real. There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me…”

Jay is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all-time. Because of his status, he disappointed a lot of fans, when he said no one can compete with him. Many fans still hope that he will one day change his mind, and appear on this widely popular hit-for-hit platform. After hearing what he had to say, some fans began roasting Jay-Z on Twitter.
