Jay-Z selling his stake in Barclays Center for $1.5 million

Hip hop’s ultimate hustler is Jay-Z and that’s no disrespect to Damon Dash. Truly taking his movement from the bottom to the top, Jay-Z built a company that is unstoppable. It dominates music, sports, and has dabbled in clothing in prior years, this is what Jay-Z saw during theĀ Reasonable Doubt days.

Ahead of his time, Jay-Z purchased an ownership stake in the New Jersey Nets right after their second straight trip to the NBA Finals. The move was big and Jay-Z’s long-term plan of moving the team to Brooklyn was even bigger. It took nine years, but Jay-Z and company managed to relocate the Nets to Brooklyn.

Jay-Z unloaded his ownership stake in the Nets in order to run Roc Nation Sports and represent the likes of Kevin Durant. When he was asked if he would continue to attend games from the Nets, Jay-Z boasted about still owning the arena. Now, Jay-Z is unloading that in order to make room for more business.
