It’s very impressive what Jay-Z has managed to build with TIDAL. His platform, which is owned by the artists, has some of the best content out. In the current landscape, there is much more than television to consume mass content.
TIDAL is more than just a place to listen to music, there are also live concerts from some of music’s biggest names. Then, they have large slates of original programming. Last year, TIDAL made a big splash when they aired “Money & Violence,” season two.
Jay-Z is putting in a lot of work, for the Hurricane Maria victims, as well, with #TIDALXBrooklyn being for them. The goal is to donate $1.3 million in proceeds to the victims in Puerto Rico. His show, this year, will include performances from himself, Jennifer Lopez, Fat Joe and Remy Ma, DJ Khaled, Chloe X Halle, Chris Brown, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Cardi B, Mack Wilds, Rapsody, Iggy Azalea, Vic Mensa, Fifth Harmony, Tee Grizzley, and more.
