Jay Z Will Reportedly Not Be Part Owner Of NFL Team Anytime Soon After Being Rumored To Make It Happen In Near Future

Jay Z and his Roc Nation label signed a business partnership with the NFL this month in order to handle entertainment events as well as social justice issues. Hov’s gotten some backlash for this move because the league is still blackballing Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality in America.

TMZ also recently reported that Jay would become a part owner of an NFL team “in the near future.” Sources close to the NFL tell CBS Sports that this speculation is false. They added that there’s no plans from Jay to be the part owner of a franchise right now.

At the end of the day, Jay Z has to be saluted for getting himself a seat at the table for trying to bring change. Kaepernick and fellow former San Francisco 49ers teammate Eric Reid weren’t feeling this move but Jay could instill the importance of why things such as kneeling is important to the league. Everyone forgot that Jay has helped 21 Savage and Meek Mill with their injustices, releasing the Trayvon Martin documentary on BET, and bailing out protestors.
