Tomorrow is the big day for Jay-Z, as Magna Carta Holy Grail will be officially released to the public. There are plenty of reasons for Jay-Z to celebrate, as his album will be the first in history to certify platinum in its first day. In addition to the July 4 release date, Jay-Z has a lot more in the works.
Becoming the biggest and most elusive rapper in the game, Jay-Z has to do everything in grande fashion. Instead of a simple concert, Jay-Z planned a major concert on top of the Letterman marquee in New York City. Jay-Z sought the permission of Michael Bloomberg and he got it.
Now, according to the New York Times, Jay-Z’s permission will not do much to ensure the July 8 concert goes well. According to a report from the New York Times, Jay-Z has cancelled his concert. For whatever reason, it appears as if Jay-Z is unable to rock the summer Letterman crowd on the marquee, there’s the surprise.
