Jay Z’s #TIDAL will not be purchased by Samsung, as discussions end

Jay-Z 41Out of everything Jay Z has done and all of his business ventures, it looks like TIDAL will be what he is most-known for. From an entertainment standpoint, TIDAL has been a tremendous success. The past few months have been stellar for fans.

TIDAL is on a roll, picking up “Money & Violence,” the Rihanna album, the Kanye West album, Beyonce’s video, and Kendrick Lamar’s EP. A lot of fans now rank TIDAL over its competitors. This week, rumors began about Samsung purchasing TIDAL.

Yesterday, Samsung shut down all rumors of them purchasing TIDAL, as talks ended. With TIDAL reportedly hemorrhaging $10 million a year, it would be a bad investment. With that in mind, Jay Z’s service will remain owned by him and the artists he is partnered with, including Usher, J. Cole, Rihanna, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Madonna, and Nicki Minaj.
