Early in his career, Jay Z was often right beside Jaz O, the man who introduced him to the game. Throughout the early part of Jay Z’s career, he was often working with Jaz O. Their last hit was “Jigga What, Jigga Who,” the remix to Jaz O’s earlier single, “The Originators.”
Jaz O had moderate mainstream success in the late 1980s and the early 1990s. However, on the streets, Jaz O was very popular and he is considered a legend in some circles. But, ultimately, it was not meant to be for Jaz O and Jay Z to work together.
Tonight, TV One is airing “A Genius Leaves The Hood,” the unauthorized documentary of Jay Z. The main person offering commentary is Jaz O and he has had nothing positive to say about Jay Z, thus far. This has led to a myriad of insults hurled at Jaz O via Twitter.
