Jazmine Sullivan talks auditioning for Aaliyah movie, abuse, and Missy Elliott with Global Grind [VIDEO]

In 2008, Jazmine Sullivan emerged on the scene with a familiar voice on her records. Missy Elliott took an extended hiatus from the game in 2005, but seemed poised to return in 2008. While she worked with Jazmine on her album, she did not make a full return.

Jazmine Sullivan, meanwhile, did a good job of holding things down on her own. But, it wasn’t long before Jazmine Sullivan soon took her own break from the game. Just this month, Jazmine Sullivan officially ended her hiatus from the industry.

Global Grind recently sat down with Jazmine Sullivan and she talked about all of her new work. Currently, Jazmine Sullivan is pushing Reality Show, which is her third album. In the interview, Jazmine Sullivan talked about how she auditioned for the Aaliyah movie, being abused, and working with Missy Elliott early in her career.
