Now that his name is officially Jeezy, he is continuing to make sound business decisions outside of simply making music. Even before his name change and since the start of his career, Jeezy always had a firm grip on the business side of things. Last summer, he took on the role of senior A&R at Atlantic Records.
Despite the moves he has made his entire career, including the partnership with Def Jam and working with YG, Jeezy is slept on. But, that’s actually a good thing because being good in business does not require fame and acclaim. In some instances, that happens to come along with it, like with Jay-Z.
