Jeezy is regarded by many as one of the greatest artists to ever do it. Over the past year, he’s been very consistent as he put out his “Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision” EP and his “The Recession 2” album. This album was released right after his epic Verzuz battle with longtime rival, Gucci Mane. The release of these projects were after many believed that Jeezy would retire after revealing that he would do so after putting out “TM104: The Legend of The Snowman” in August 2019.

On Wednesday, Jeezy sadly revealed that his mother passed away recently. In his Instagram post, he put up a photo of himself at her funeral along with a video of her. He thanked her for being the person she was and how he will take care of their loved ones.

“You taught me to be a man when I was a boy. Made me man up be a father when I was a kid. Raised me to be a natural born leader when I was lost. You lifted me when I was down. Inspired me when I had no inspiration. Always told me I was Bigger than my circumstances. My Super Hero. Feared nothing or no one.. No obstacle or set backs. One of the only people in the world I could trust. When I had nothing or no one, I had you Mamma. You was hard on me. I thank you for that. You gave me confidence when I didn’t have any. Made me feel like I can put the world on my back and walk barefoot.”

Following Jeezy’s IG post, fans poured into his comments section showing him love during this difficult time. Check out his touching tribute to his mother below.
