The world is going crazy right now with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as we’re at over 1,100,000 cases and over 63,000 deaths worldwide. Sporting events, concerts restaurants, movie theaters, malls and more have since been temporarily shut down due to the virus.

Luckily for us though, artists continue to release music which is great therapy for all of us during this time. One artist is Jeezy, who released his new ‘Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision’ EP last week which featured seven tracks. The Atlanta legend appeared on MSNBC today and spoke about releasing music during this pandemic, calling out Donald Trump, and reminiscing on when former President Barack Obama shouted him at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

As far as releasing music now, Jeezy explained how he coincidentally puts out his best music during chaotic times like this and how in chaos, he’s always the calmest person in the room. He even expressed optimism as he tries to see the other side of a situation and plans for it. The Snowman also reflected on releasing his third studio album ‘The Recession’ in 2008 when the economy in the United States was actually in a recession and that’s where we’re heading towards now as many people continue to lose their jobs due to businesses shutting down because of the virus.

The Recession album definitely had plenty of success as it featured the hit single “My President” featuring Nas as it was decided to Obama for he even won the presidential election, “Put On” feat. Kanye West, “Vacation,” and more. It also ended up debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Check out Jeezy speaking on MSNBC below.
