Jennifer Lopez announces engagement to Ben Affleck, for a second time, since 2002

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck get engaged again

Last year, Jennifer Lopez ended her engagement with baseball legend, Alex Rodriguez. The two had originally gotten engaged in March 2019. JLo was quick to move on though, as she got back with her ex-fiancé, Ben Affleck. The two had dated in the early 2000s, as they got engaged in 2002. That went on to get called off in 2004, though.

JLo and Ben have been looking very happy together in the public eye, over the past year. It appears that their feelings from 20 years ago never left, as they are now engaged again. JLo confirmed this massive news on her “On The JLo” newsletter, on Friday night. Earlier this week, she also hinted at wearing an engagement ring.

JLo also recently spoke to People on what is different with her relationship to Affleck now, compared to 2004. She believes that age and wisdom has increased significantly, over the past 18 years.

“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other,” Lopez told PEOPLE. “We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
