Jennifer Lopez will honor Selena with tribute performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards

While Jennifer Lopez never had the chance to work with Selena, she will always be connected to the deceased star. In 1994-1995, Selena saw her stardom take over the mainstream American market. Unfortunately, she was murdered just as her career began to blossom.

Two years following her death, a biopic about Selena was created. The star of the movie was none other than Jennifer Lopez, who received acclaim for her portrayal. Years later, Jennifer Lopez became a household name and many credit her role as the titular Selena and Lopez agrees.

Jennifer Lopez recently talked to Billboard about Selena, as today is the deceased icon’s 44th birthday. During the interview, she revealed she would do another tribute to Selena. She revealed she would be doing a tribute performance for Selena at the Billboard Latin Awards on April 30.
