Jeremih Details How Bad Situation Got With COVID-19 Battle; Says He Saw a “White Light” [VIDEO]

Last month, it was revealed that Jeremih was in an ICU in his hometown of Chicago. There he was fighting COVID-19 and was placed on a ventilator. His status started to improve though as he was soon able to be transferred to standard hospital care. The R&B star was then finally released on December 5.

A week ago, Jeremih took to his Instagram feed to express how thankful he is to still be here. He also thanked everyone for their prayers. He also recently spoke to Sway’s Universe regarding his scary experience. Chance The Rapper also joined him in this interview. Jeremih said he had tubes down his throat, his kidneys started to have trouble functioning and he even “saw a white light.”

“I had a tube down my throat for about a week and a half. I was really like, in a dream. I woke up two times, and all I remember seeing is a white light. All my organs became inflamed. My heart started beating irregularly, my kidneys went out, my liver started to go bad. Mind you, I didn’t know what was going on at the time. I was out. I’ve never been to a hospital in my entire life. Not for a broken bone, not for nothing. So, just to be in there, I look at it as a blessing. As crazy as it might sound, I needed to sit down. I needed to take a break.”

Thankfully, Jeremih is still here to tell his story. Hopefully, the pandemic finally starts to get better and people continue to mask up.
