Last week, it was revealed by 50 Cent that Jeremih was in an ICU in Chicago as he was struggling in his battle with COVID-19. He was also placed on a ventilator to help him breathe. At the time, it was unknown when the R&B star had tested positive or when he was admitted.
A few days ago, 50 revealed that Jeremih started to become responsive and is doing a little bit better. Now, there are more positive updates coming. Willie Taylor of Day 26 revealed on Instagram that Jeremih is now breathing on his own and has been given a lower dosage on his medication.
“Cuddo Mane @jeremih is showing progress, breathing on his own and has been given a lower dosage on his medication,” Taylor said. “God is Amazing. Keep those prayers going up. God is Showing Up and Showing out!!”
Jeremih’s family also sent a statement to CNN where they confirmed that he was in an ICU. They also added that what has happened is “rare for a young man his age without underlying conditions.” Hopefully, he makes a full recovery soon and doesn’t have any long-term effects from the virus.
