Jermaine Dupri believes Ciara ripped Usher’s “U Got It Bad” for her new single, “I Bet”

Until a couple of years ago, Jermaine Dupri appeared to be pretty much done with the industry. But, Jermaine Dupri is back and pushing a new artist, Royce Rizzy. Before this, however, Jermaine Dupri helped guys such as Usher rise to stardom.

Perhaps only R. Kelly was a hotter R&B artist than Usher in 2001. This was when Usher released 8701, his third album. That album contained a variety of big singles and each of them started with “U” and “U Got It Bad” was a very big record off the album.

In the wake of Marvin Gaye’s family earning a historic victory in court over both Robin Thicke and Pharrell for “Blurred Lines.” Recently, Jermaine Dupri talked to The Associated Press about that situation. He then had something shocking to say, when he accused Ciara of copying “U Got It Bad” for her new single, “I Bet.”
