It is hard to believe twenty years have passed since Jermaine Dupri launched his label, So So Def Recordings, and took over the game. As times changed, so did JD and he brought his company with him. During the mid-2000s, Jermaine Dupri reinvinted himself and ushered in the “y’all know what this is!” movement.

Close to a decade has passed since Jermaine Dupri even was on his producing frenzy and five years since he left Def Jam. Jermaine Dupri has told the world he would come back and stronger than ever with So So Def. However, this has not been the case until recently.

In recent weeks, Jermaine Dupri has been in the media talking about the twentieth anniversary of his company. Over the weekend, Jermaine Dupri celebrated his company turning twenty with a major concert. In addition to some of the members of the label, current and former, Jermaine Dupri invited his close affiliates, including Jay-Z, Monica, Ludacris, Mariah Carey, and more to perform with him.
