Jerrod Carmichael talks being confident in sexuality, parental infidelity, owning his story, and more on “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Over the past five years, there has been a renaissance in comedy, especially in the urban, hip hop, world. One of the comedians who seized the moment was Jerrod Carmichael. After dominating the stand-up scene, Carmichael got his own NBC sitcom.
From 2015 until 2017, Jerrod Carmichael led “The Carmichael Show,” where he starred alongside Amber Stevens West. Owning his NC heritage, Carmichael set the series in Charlotte. But, earlier this year, he made a huge confession about his sexuality.
Recently, Jerrod Carmichael visited “The Breakfast Club,” where it was only him and Charlamagne Tha God. Both DJ Envy and Angela Yee were out, so Charlamagne and Jerrod spoke on having fathers, that dynamic, his mother, his family, and about sexuality. The rising star also discussed owning his own story.
