Given what happened, over this past weekend, there needed to be some form of unity among players and owners. The president flat out told owners they need to cut players from teams, who chose to take the knee. That’s actually a violation of the Constitution, but whatever.
The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most-prolific teams in NFL history, marked by Jerry Jones, their flamboyant owner. Even though he is very much so Texas, he isn’t siding with the president. He is siding with the players of his team.
Ahead of the National Anthem, ESPN was alerted that the entire roster for the Cowboys would take a knee. This entire roster included Jerry Jones, who also took a knee. His decision was applauded by people all over social media.
