This proves that ALL things come to an end, so “The Simpsons” are taking all of the pressure now. But, Jerry Springer is ending his self-titled television show, after 27 years. The show has become much more than a talk show.

Jerry Springer has provided countless hours of mindless entertainment, key in sparking this reality TV era. Reality TV began to take hold, 20 years ago, and Jerry Springer came seven years prior. Nearly everything that could happen has, so there’s nowhere to go.

During its’ run, Jerry Springer’s show has had pay-per-view specials, and tons of other special events. For better or for worse, it is a part of the culture. But, don’t expect new episodes, come this fall, as the show is officially over.
