Authorities are urgently searching for several suspects involved in a vicious assault on the North Wildwood boardwalk last weekend. The attack, which left a 22-year-old man severely injured, occurred near 26th Avenue on June 8, 2024.

North Wildwood Police released new images of the suspects and a blue Dodge Ram they were seen driving. The photographs, distributed on Wednesday, aim to assist in the identification and capture of those responsible for the brutal act.

Kenneth Golembewski, the father of the victim, provided chilling details of the incident to Action News. He explained that his son, Lucas, and Lucas’s girlfriend were at a nearby arcade when they were approached by a group of teens. A verbal altercation quickly escalated into violence. Golembewski described how his son was kicked in the face by one of the attackers while lying helpless on the ground.

“The kid was all in his face, and the next thing you know, I’m being pushed and shoved around. I saw Lucas get kicked dead in the face,” Golembewski recounted.

Also adding that he initially chased the assailant before deciding to stay with his injured son.

Denise Donahue, a local resident, witnessed the attack and chased one of the suspects down the boardwalk. She described the shocking moment to Action News, recalling how the attacker kicked Lucas in the head. Despite her efforts, the suspect managed to flee the scene.

The attack has shocked the community and raised concerns about safety at the popular shore destination. Donahue expressed her dismay. Thus, stating:

“It’s a terrible shame that in this age that we’re in today, we can’t enjoy what people have enjoyed for years at the Jersey shore.”

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward. The North Wildwood Police Department continues to investigate and has vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
